Alarm, a typeface created by freelancer Heinz König, was first published in 1928 by the Trennert typefoundry in Hamburg-Altona. Despite its age, it wasn't digitized until 2017. Andreas Seidel undertook the task of digitizing the typeface for Fust & Friends, referencing multiple type specimens of the original metal and wood type versions. Additionally, the digitization process took into account the outcome of a special printing session in 2016 using 72pt Alarm foundry type.
Although Fust & Friends, the micro foundry operated by Jan Middendorp, ceased its operations in October 2021, this font can still be licensed through astype fonts.
