Type from the worlds first stencil cutting machine
The Vtg Stencil Bradley 075 is drawn from a stencil type of a historic "Long Bradley" stencil cutting machine (horizontal models) with 3/4 and 1/2 inch letters.
The Long Bradley was the world's first manual stencil cutting machine, invented by Andrew Jackson Bradley and patented in 1893. Until about 1936, the stencil machines were manufactured by the Bradley Stencil Maschine Company, St. Louis. They were then acquired by competitor Diagraph Stencil Machine Corporation. So working Bradley machines are really rare these days.
The design is part of North America's industrial heritage.
